LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — The Ocean County Business Association (OCBA) invites local business leaders, golfers, sponsors, and community supporters to take part in the 10th Annual Marty Aronow Charity Golf Classic on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at LBI National Golf & Resort in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey.
This milestone event will bring together the Ocean County business community for a full day of golf, networking, prizes, and philanthropy, all in support of CAREing for Children, a volunteer-run charitable initiative dedicated to helping local children and families in need.
The annual outing has become one of Ocean County’s most meaningful business and charitable events, raising more than $182,000 over the past nine years to provide food, holiday gifts, backpacks filled with school supplies, and other essentials to underserved families throughout the region.
Hosted at the nationally recognized LBI National Golf & Resort, the event will feature a scramble-format tournament, contests, prizes, dinner, and opportunities for businesses to connect while supporting a cause that directly impacts the local community.
“We are proud to celebrate the tenth year of this event and the incredible generosity of the Ocean County business community,” said OCBA president, Rich Gilchrest. “Every golfer, sponsor, donor, and volunteer plays a role in helping CAREing for Children continue its mission of supporting local families.”
CAREing for Children was founded through the efforts of OCBA members and inspired by the vision and leadership of the late Clare Bojus, whose dedication helped grow the organization into a major source of support for local charitable groups. Today, the program continues under the leadership of Barbara Farley and a dedicated volunteer committee.
Because CAREing for Children operates entirely through volunteers, 100% of net proceeds from the golf outing go directly back into the community. Donations and fundraising efforts support organizations including Providence House, Faith Community Church Food Pantry, the Salvation Army, St. Joseph’s Church Food Pantry, United Methodist Church Food Pantry, and many others throughout Ocean County.
The 2026 Golf Classic schedule includes:
• 11:30 AM – Registration
• 12:00 PM – Boxed Lunch
• 1:00 PM – Shotgun Start
• 6:00 PM – Completion of Round
• 6:00 PM – Dinner & Awards Ceremony
Golfers will enjoy team prizes, a hole-in-one contest, longest drive and putting contests, driving range access, and a full day of networking and fellowship on one of the region’s premier golf courses.
Businesses are encouraged to participate through sponsorship opportunities ranging from Tee Box Sponsor packages to Diamond Sponsorships that include a foursome and prominent event recognition. Sponsorship levels include:

• Major Event Sponsor – $2,250
• Platinum Sponsor – $1,500
• Gold Sponsor – $750
• Silver Sponsor – $500
• Tee Box Sponsor – $150
Player registration options include:

The event brochure also highlights the record-setting 2019 donation presentation of $31,233 to CAREing for Children, with organizers hoping to surpass that total again in 2026.
